RALEIGH — Keystone Corporation is pleased to announce that a long term agreement with the State of North Carolina has been executed and plans to build a new facility at 1791 Varsity Drive on North Carolina State University’s Centennial Campus are officially underway.

Located at the corner of Varsity Drive and Main Campus Drive, the Keystone Centennial Science Center will feature a two-story, 72,000 square foot, Class “A” laboratory and office building that is suitable for both wet and electric lab users.

Working in conjunction with the Centennial Campus Development Office, Keystone Corporation plans to break ground this spring. This new facility will offer tenants a high-tech, low risk place to commercialize innovative ideas. With 28,000 square feet already pre-leased, this new lab and office facility will be the headquarters of two major companies.

According to Harlan Stafford, Director of Centennial Campus Real Estate, the Keystone Centennial Science Center will compliment the architectural design of Centennial Campus and offer tenants an innovative business community where research and industry thrive. Centennial Campus is a unique research park that attracts private corporations, government agencies, technology companies, as well as start-up companies, enabling them all to benefit from the resources of the University.

J. Patrick Gavaghan, President of Keystone Corporation, an alumnus of North Carolina State University and previous Associate Director for NC State’s Wolfpack Club expressed his excitement regarding this new building, “With 30 years in the real estate development business, I am glad that I am able to give back to my Alma Mater and construct a building that will provide tenants with an environment that can utilize the University’s resources to grow and cultivate their respective businesses.”

Keystone Centennial Science Center provides tenants with a research-based and results-oriented environment and is conveniently located near downtown Raleigh, Cary, Research Triangle Park, RDU Airport and I-40.
